Exclusive - Prateik Chaudhary shares his emotions on getting his first SUV,; ”I waited for the perfect time to own my own passion”

For actor Prateik Chaudhary it was the perfect time to get his first SUV. He was never in a hurry as he wanted to have it when he could afford it. Sharing more on his car he says,”I’ve always liked SUVs, and the Mahindra Thar was definitely on my wishlist. I finally bought the white coloured one. It’s big, bold, and loaded with the latest features. Usually, people go for black or red, but I wanted something different. The white one really stands out and gives it a very classy and unique look. When I look at my car it gives me a lot of peace.” Talking about his passion for cars Prateik says, ”Honestly, I’ve never been too fancy about cars or material things. But yes, I’ve always preferred SUVs over sedans or any other type of cars. There’s just something about their presence that I really like. It also gives you a royal feeling when you are on the drivers seat.”Prateik always wanted to own a house first and then a car. He adds,”We all know in Mumbai having your own home is a big thing. Being a Mumbaikar and coming from a well-settled family, having your own place is a special feeling. I’ve always been very independent. I never relied on my parents financially and have earned everything on my own. For me, security was always the priority, so I focused on buying my own home and investing in properties first. Once that was done, I felt it was the right time to fulfil my personal wish of owning a car I truly love.Prateik confesses driving in Mumbai is a hard thing to do. He says,”I mostly use my car for shoots, going to the gym, or for some important work. Otherwise, you know how Mumbai traffic is, it can be quite hectic, so I usually avoid driving myself or have my driver handle it. I have not made any road trip with my car, but I think I will plan something during monsoon. My friends and family have been pushing me to take a short trip to places like Lonavala or nearby destinations, but due to work commitments, I haven’t been able to plan anything yet.Prateik who is an emotionally matured person feels one should not be very attached to material things. ”Honestly, I try to keep it very normal. I feel that getting too emotionally attached to material things can affect you if something happens to them. I’m a slightly sensitive and emotional person, so I consciously maintain a balanced approach—no extreme excitement or attachment, just a calm and practical mindset.
