Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his run in IPL 2026 with another attacking knock, hitting Sunil Narine for a six off the second ball he faced during Rajasthan Royals’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Sunday.The 15-year-old made 46 off 28 balls, with six fours and two sixes, at a strike rate of 164.29. During the innings, he took on bowlers such as Vaibhav Arora, Cameron Green, Kartik Tyagi and Narine.He had started his IPL career by hitting a six off his first ball against Shardul Thakur. One of highlights for him in IPL 2026 season came when he hit Jasprit Bumrah for a six off the first ball he faced against him in a rain-shortened 11-over match against Mumbai Indians.Against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he hit Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood for boundaries on the first ball. He also scored a six and a four off the first balls he faced against Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar last season.He hit a first-ball six against Marco Jansen while playing against Punjab Kings and did the same against Mohammed Siraj while facing Gujarat Titans last year.Sooryavanshi is currently the fourth-highest run-scorer this season with 246 runs in six matches at an average of 41.00 and a strike rate of 236.53, including two fifties and a best of 78.In 13 IPL matches, he has scored 498 runs at an average of 38.30 and a strike rate of 220.35, with one century and three fifties. He has hit 42 fours and 44 sixes in 226 balls.In the match, a timely unbeaten 53 from vice-captain Rinku Singh powered former champions Kolkata Knight Riders to their first win of the season as they defeated Rajasthan Royals by four wickets
