Sons of auto driver and carpenter script HSC success in Rourkela | Bhubaneswar News


Rourkela: Two examinees, the son of an auto driver and another son of a carpenter of a govt-aided school here, have both secured A1 grade and 90% marks in Class X examination of Board Secondary Education, Odisha.Abhirup is the elder son of Dilip Das, an auto driver, who stays with his family in a rented quarter at Jhirpani here. Dilip has another son, six years old. Abhirup studied from classes I to VIII in an Odia-medium school at Jhirpani and he studied classes IX and X in Pragati Vidya Mandir, Jagda here, a govt-aided school. Always hardworking in studies, Abhirup scored 540 out of 600 marks in the board exam, securing A1 grade. Reacting to the news, Abhirup said, “I am happy but I was expecting more marks. The teachers and headmaster of my school were always supportive. Whenever I had any doubt, they helped. Of course, my father taught me maths, which proved fruitful.”Abhirup would to pursue science stream and aspires to be a doctor.Similarly, Subhankar Sutar, another student of Pragati Vidya Mandir, Jagda, son of carpenter, scored 540 marks, securing A1 grade in Class X board exam.Subhankar’s father Bijoy Kumar Sutar, resides with his family in a rented quarter at Jagda here. Subhankar studied from classes I to VIII in a private Odia-medium school before completing class IX and X from Pragati Vidya Mandir. A meritorious student, Subhankar reacted by saying, “Hard work and dedication are key to my success. I was constantly focusing on my studies and studying 8 hours daily apart from school hours.“The credit for my success goes to my teachers, headmaster and my parents. I would study in science stream and want to be a doctor in future.” said SubhankarSubhankar’s father Bijay Kumar Sutar, said he is proud of his son. “ I am proud of my son for his performance in class X board examination.” said Bijay Kumar Sutar.
