Coimbatore to get a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple
The approval marks a significant step in TTD’s ongoing efforts to expand its spiritual and religious outreach across the country and strengthen access to devotional infrastructure for devotees outside Andhra Pradesh.

COIMBATORE: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has approved a new temple in Coimbatore on a parcel of land donated by a leading plotted developer in Tamil Nadu.During a trust board meeting on Tuesday, the board approved the takeover of 19.43 acres of land worth Rs388 crore at Kovaipudur that’s donated by G Square Group for the construction of a new TTD temple in Coimbatore.The approval marks a significant step in TTD’s ongoing efforts to expand its spiritual and religious outreach across the country and strengthen access to devotional infrastructure for devotees outside Andhra Pradesh.The trust board approved the merger of the donated land located at G Square Seven Hills City in Kovaipudur with TTD assets and confirmed that further steps towards planning and development of the temple would commence in the coming months. The proposed temple is expected to emerge as a major spiritual centre for devotees in the western Tamil Nadu.During the meeting, the board also approved several key initiatives, including the launch of ‘Akshara Govindam’ programme for children, construction of a permanent ‘yagasala’ at Alipiri, expansion of educational infrastructure and development of new temples across India.
