Tripura partners with Ramakrishna Mission for language training, value edu

Agartala: The Tripura govt has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Ramakrishna Mission to facilitate the creation of the Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages & Centre for Human Excellence, aimed at skill development, value-driven education, and youth empowerment.The initiative is being taken up by the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT), the state govt’s policy think tank aligned with NITI Aayog. The project is positioned as the first School of Languages in Northeast India, along with a Centre for Human Excellence focused on improving knowledge, abilities, and moral values among youth.CM Manik Saha described the agreement as “a key step in the state’s education and youth empowerment agenda”, and said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing human potential for a changing global environment.He said the initiative also recognises the Ramakrishna Mission’s work in education, value-oriented learning, and human resource development, adding that the Mission’s efforts in Tripura have had a positive impact across society.Saha said the new institution would strengthen language proficiency, professional skills, and ethical grounding among young people, improving employability and global competitiveness.“The initiative by the Ramakrishna Mission aims to provide our youth with essential knowledge, skills, and moral values, equipping them to address the emerging opportunities and challenges of today’s world effectively. This will mark a pioneering and visionary advancement in education and human resource development in Tripura,” the CM said.The proposed school of languages is expected to offer training in multiple national and international languages to help students and job seekers access education and employment opportunities in India and abroad. The Centre for Human Excellence will focus on personality development, leadership, life skills, value education, and holistic human development.
