At least 50 people fell sick and seven of whom hospitalised as severe vomiting and diarrhoea due to water contamination in some housing societies in Ahmedabad prompted high-level intervention and issuance of clear directions to the Gujarat government to deploy all necessary resources on a “war footing.”
