Ram Charan’s sports action drama ‘Peddi’ was released in theatres on June 4. However, before it hit the big screens, the film also received criticism, negative comments and doubts. Recently, director Buchi Babu Sana spoke about one of the team’s biggest mistakes.

In a post-release interview for the production banner, the director shared that the trailer did not show the film in the right way. According to him, the trailer confused many viewers instead of creating excitement. He admitted that the editing team packed too many things into a single scene.Speaking about it, Buchi Babu said, “We just can’t afford such things with big movies. In the trailer, too many things were packed into one scene; it was just too much.”
Creators helped the film grow
Buchi Babu said social media creators played an important role in helping the film reach more people. Many content creators shared their honest opinions through reels and videos after watching the movie.According to the director, these videos created curiosity among audiences and helped spread positive word-of-mouth. He believes this support helped Peddi attract more viewers after release.
Jagapathi Babu talks about negativity
Jagapathi Babu who was also present, shared his thoughts on the difficult period before the film’s release. He said there was a lot of negativity surrounding Peddi and many people believed the film would not succeed.“There was so much negativity,” Jagapathi Babu recalled. “Even the people who wanted it guaranteed it wouldn’t happen. I was disappointed. I thought it wouldn’t meet my expectations at the start.” The actor said the atmosphere around the film was not positive during its early days.After its release, it faced criticism over the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor’s character Achiyyamma. Many viewers were uncomfortable with some romantic scenes and expressed their concerns online. Later the team shared their apology and confirmed edits.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film’s worldwide gross collection is now at Rs 307.98 crore in its 11-day run.
