At least two people were killed in a shooting outside the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul, according to local media reports.
Three people participated in the shooting and were all “neutralized,” Turkey’s Interior Ministry said in a statement, and the shooters have been identified.
Two police officers were also injured, the interior ministry said.
Video shared by Reuters showed an armed police officer taking cover amid the sound of gunshots.

Turkey’s Haberturk broadcaster reported the shooters were carrying long-barreled weapons, according to The Associated Press, but it was unclear what their motivation was. Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek said an investigation into the shooting has been launched, the AP reported.
CBS News called the Israeli consulate in Istanbul and the district and city police for comment but had not heard back at the time of publication.
Israel’s foreign ministry said in a statement that it was investigating reports of a shooting near the consulate, which it said was “unmanned.”
There are currently no Israeli diplomats at any of the Israeli missions in Turkey, a source with knowledge of the situation told CBS News.
