73 cadets graduate from Army Cadet College in Doon
Ceremony was held at IMA’s Chetwode Hall

Dehradun: Seventy-three cadets of Indian Military Academy (IMA)’s Army Cadet College (ACC) Wing graduated on Saturday after completing their three-year academic and military training course. The ceremony was held at IMA’s Chetwode Hall, where the institute’s commandant Lt Gen Nagendra Singh awarded bachelor’s degrees.Singh congratulated the cadets and said, “Character, self-discipline, courage, motivation, a positive attitude and professional competence are qualities of a successful Army officer.”The degrees, conferred by Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University were awarded to 32 cadets from science stream and 42 from humanities stream of the 127th ACC course. The graduating cadets will join IMA in July 2026 for pre-commissioning training before being commissioned as Army officers.At the ceremony, wing cadet captain Naveen received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gold Medal. Company cadet captain Avnish Kumar Mishra received the COAS Silver Medal, while wing cadet quartermaster Harshraj received the COAS Bronze Medal. Nubra Company was declared the ‘Champion Company of the ACC Wing’.The training curriculum at the ACC is made to ensure holistic development of cadets physically, mentally and intellectually. Every cadet undergoes a graduation programme augmented with rigorous military training to imbibe traits required by them to become commissioned officers in the Indian Army.
