Arjun Sarja’s comeback film ‘Blast’ continued its theatrical run with a slight decline in collections on its seventh day. The film had maintained a stable run during its first week. However the latest numbers showed a noticeable dip compared to the previous day. According to trade estimates from Sacnilk, ‘Blast’ collected Rs 2.75 crore net in India on Day 7. The figure represented a 20.3 percent fall from Day 6, when the film earned Rs 3.45 crore.
Worldwide collection crosses Rs 34 crore mark
With its day 7 performance, ‘Blast’ pushed its total earnings further. The film’s India net collection now stands at Rs 23.75 crore. Meanwhile, the India gross total has reached Rs 27.29 crore.The film also continued its overseas journey with additional earnings from international markets. Reports suggested that Blast earned Rs 50 lakhs overseas on Day 7.The international total now stands at Rs 7.30 crore gross. This has taken the film’s worldwide gross collection to Rs 34.59 crore after seven days of release.
Tamil version continues to drive business
Among all versions, the Tamil release remained the major contributor. The Tamil version brought in Rs 2.50 crore net on Day 7. The Telugu version collected Rs 25 lakhs.The Tamil version also recorded stronger occupancy numbers throughout the day. Reports showed an overall occupancy of 25.03 percent. Night shows registered the highest turnout with 32.31 percent occupancy. Morning shows remained comparatively lower.The Telugu version recorded overall occupancy of 17.48 percent during the day.Tamil Nadu also emerged as the strongest performing market. The state contributed Rs 1.55 crore gross on Day 7. Kerala followed with Rs 1.15 crore gross collections.
