This update comes after it was revealed that she had to undergo an emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.The 74 year old’s manager, Matt Davis also issued a statement regarding her heath and hospital stay, citing that “Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her Doctors to aid her recovery. We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please. We will issue a further statement when we are able to.”The previous statement about her surgery had read that We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie has been admitted to hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a home, for emergency intestinal surgery. The surgery went well, and she is now recuperating.”

Businessman Liberto Mealha, who is also a close friend of the singer, shared an update with the world as per The Sun reports. He provided details about what happened to the singer and what led to the emergency surgery.Providing details about the incident, he shared that “She started feeling unwell during a concert in London and went to a doctor for tests, but they didn’t detect anything there. She decided to travel to the Algarve, where she began to feel severe abdominal pain.” As per his statement, two days after this, she was transferred to Faro for an emergency surgery after it was found that her appendix had burst.
