Puri: A 50-member team of Brics delegates attending the Disaster Risk Reduction Group’s technical meeting on Thursday explored the architectural splendour of Konark Sun Temple, a Unesco World Heritage site, officials said.On the concluding day of the three-day meeting, the delegates are scheduled to witness demonstrations by Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force and Odisha Fire Service at Ramachandi beach.The delegates were also given a feel of the local handloom, with Sambalpuri tie-and-dye fabrics on display at the meeting venue in Puri, drawing a warm response from the international delegates.Revenue and disaster management minister Suresh Pujari said the deliberations helped Odisha showcase not only its robust disaster management capabilities and its proactive strategy but also its rich art and culture to the global community.
