Sinqua Walls has joined ‘Man of Tomorrow’, James Gunn’s follow-up to last year’s ‘Superman’. The DC Studios film is now filming in Atlanta, with David Corenswet returning as Superman and Nicholas Hoult back as Lex Luthor. Walls’ role has not been revealed, and the studio did not comment on his casting. The sequel is scheduled to release on July 9, 2027.

According to The Hollywood Reorter, Walls is the latest actor to board ‘Man of Tomorrow’. Details about his character are being kept under wraps. DC Studios had no comment on the casting.Walls is known for his work across film and television. He appeared in the 2000s TV drama ‘Friday Night Lights’ and recently starred in Peacock’s limited series ‘Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist’. The series also featured Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson and Don Cheadle.On the film side, Walls led Hulu’s remake of ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ opposite Jack Harlow. He also appeared in Netflix’s ‘Carry-On’ as the best friend of Taron Egerton’s TSA agent. His recent credits also include the horror comedy ‘The Blackening’ and the 2022 drama ‘Mending the Line’, in which he starred opposite Brian Cox as a veteran.
James Gunn’s Superman sequel expands DC cast
‘Man of Tomorrow’ brings back several key names from Gunn’s new DC universe. Corenswet returns as Superman, while Hoult reprises his role as Lex Luthor. The film will see the two enemies team up against Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger.Adria Arjona is also joining the franchise. ‘Lanterns’ star Aaron Pierre is on the call sheet as well. The returning cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.The sequel follows DC’s 2026 releases ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Clayface’.
