Border security, connectivity and bilateral ties: Why Myanmar President Hlaing's India visit matters



Myanmar's President U Min Aung Hlaing on Saturday arrived in Bihar's Bodh Gaya, as MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed the visit and highlighted India's civilisational and spiritual ties with Myanmar. The Myanmar president was received at the airport by Bihar Governor Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd). Aung Hlaing's visit to India comes less than two months after he became the president following Myanmar's parliamentary elections.
